Since young, Chef Peaz had an flaire for food, where he would ask his parents to buy food from different hawker centres for him to try. As he grew older, he began to attempt cooking dishes from cookbooks. He then moved to cooking vegetarian food and eventually made his own dish at the age of 22.

 

Chef Peaz had won the International Top Vegetarian Chef Award - the most prestigious award any vegetarian chef can attain - in 2007 and 2013. When asked why he wanted to cook vegetarian food, he replied that he felt vegetarian food is something less looked upon by our local citizens. "We all love food, so why not try something new and do the best out of it, share the joy of great tasting food to not just the locals, but also people around the world?" was what he had answered during the press conference in 2013.
